Italy: Love it or Leave it.

Ah, to be in Austin today where SXSW has stared. I could do so many things like attend a conversation with Joss Whedon that begins in a couple of hours, or attend the showing of a documentary getting rave reviews. Italy: Love it or Live it, directed by Luca Ragazzi and Gustav Hofer. In the way of conferences, these two things will take place at nearly the same time, so maybe it's a good thing I don't have to choose. Anyway, the film is about two gay men struggling to survive in their beloved home among so many haters. I can't wait to see it, mainly because it uses comedy and levity to tackle the subject. It seems to be searching for the hopeful rather than just droning on about the negative. I'm looking forward to it, since I struggle at times with this same should-I-stay-or-should-I-go thoughts when I see some of the crazysauce hate going on in my own country. Living in the heart of crazy, I'm sure I will have to wait until I can get this documentary on Netflix. Until then, here's a trailor. It remains to be seen if this film will live up to my expectations. I admit that's a tall order, because I'm really excited about this one. Best of luck Ragazzi and Hofer!
