Earth Day Sans Internet
Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 11:50AM I woke up yesterday morning to no internet access at my house. Apparently it's the outside line damages and we have to wait until tomorrow, at best, for the Verizon people to get someone over to fix it. So, I've spent a good deal of time this weekend all over town from Starbucks to The Good Cherry to Panera to my studio, where internet is sketchy at best, trying to meet all my various deadlines. Since I own a pet sitting service as my day job, I drive past most of these places on my daily rounds, but it does get frustrating after a while, and I don't know how people concentrate to work in these situations.
Anyway, today, I had planned to blog here about Earth Day, as I have done in two other places around the net already, but alas, I am running out of time on a deadline. So, I'll have to make do with linking you to my two other Earth Day posts instead. You can read a little Earth Day history lesson over at The Ravens Crossing and find out what book started it all. Yes, that's right. It all started with a book. The power of the written word should never be forgotten. Then, you can cruise on over to The Keeper of the Zoo for more on how I intend to work on my green practices this year. Perhaps it will inspire you to do the same. Now, I must go finish my edits and write like the wind.
